Mohamed Elkordy, AIA
President, Director of Construction
Mr. Elkordy is in charge of the procurement, administration and supervision of building construction projects. He often consults with architects and engineers on methods and procedures for stone and masonry construction technology, anchoring systems as well as building and monument restoration and reconstruction. He is a graduate of The Catholic University of America and is a Registered Architect in the State of New York. His work has resulted in many awards including the Municipal Art Society's "New York Preservation Award" and the Building Stone's Institute's Tucker Award for Stone Restoration.

Treasurer, Director of Preservation
As a leading expert in conservation and restoration Ms. Ottavino supervises research, materials studies, surveys, design, and treatment programs for or extensive restoration projects. Her work has received many Landmark Agency Awards across the nation including Restoration of the Bethesda Terrace, Central Park, NY; The Dakota Apartments and the Old U.S. Customs House. A frequent lecturer and author on historic preservation Ms. Ottavino is also the Director of Preservation Technology at the New Jersey Institute of Technology Center for Building Knowledge where she is currently developing a prototypical High School Preservation Arts Curriculum for the NYC Department of Education with funding from World Monuments Fund and the National Endowment for the Humanities. The High School curriculum is a multidisciplinary program of academic study and artisan internships. She holds a Master of Architecture (AAUQ Fellowship) and Master of Science in Historic Preservation from Columbia University as well as numerous scholarships and grant posts.
Sallie Ottavino Elkordy

Over the past three decades, under the supervision of Sallie Ottavino Elkordy, for A. Ottavino Corp., many large scale projects have been completed including the limestone, bluestone and granite facade of the New Computer Science Center at Columbia University, which earned the stone industry’s Tucker Award for “best non-residential stone building”; the Renovation of the Warner Bros. Store on Fifth Ave.; the Reconstruction of the Manhattan Supreme Court Steps and Entrance Portico; the Removal And Replacement of the bluestone pavers around the New York Public Library and the Granite Facade Recladding of the Whitney Museum. Her related experiences have been as Architectural Liaison for the Deputy Commissioner of Planning of the NYC Department of Parks and Recreation where she gained interagency approvals for over 200 design and construction projects. Prior to this Sallie served as Architectural Project Manager for the Renovation of the Prospect Park Zoo and acted in an advisory capacity on the Reconstruction of the World’s Fair Grounds in Flushing Meadows Corona Park. Before coming to Parks, Sallie was a Construction Manager for Lehrer McGovern Bovis, Inc. on the Renovation of Shea Stadium. Sallie Ottavino Elkordy holds a Master of Architecture degree from The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from New York University. Also known as "Sillie Sallie", she is the founder/director of the Museum of Comedy, a non-profit organization serving hospitals and homeless shelters throughout NYC. Mrs. Elkordy has produced over 900 comedy shows on her "Mission of Cheer" since 1993.

For more than 20 years Ms. Ottavino has directed the management and production of A. Ottavino Memorial Studios. Continuing the legacy of its founder Adamo Ottavino, Ms. Ottavino manages our memorials division with its long history of excellence and quality craftsmanship. For more than fifty years we have been a leadership resource in the field providing complete design through production services for distinctive memorials and mausoleums. Our artisans have been called upon to memorialize such notable persons as Eleanor Roosevelt, President John F. Kennedy and Babe Ruth. Ms. Ottavino is a graduate of The Catholic University of America and Vice President of the Associated Granite Craftsman Guild.
